The girl behind the law

Alyssa Alhadeff was 14-years-old when she was killed in the 2018 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. She was “bright, energetic, happy, athletic – a pure ray of sunshine who lit up every room with her warm smile.”
Her parents created MAKE OUR SCHOOLS SAFE and from that, Alyssa’s Law was born.
What is Alyssa’s Law?
Alyssa’s Law requires all school districts in Oklahoma, Texas, and six other states to implement a mobile panic alert system to improve communication with first responders during an emergency.
The alert system must provide floor plans, caller location, and real-time updates to first responders during an emergency. And it must automatically alert designated school personnel of the emergency through text, phone call, app, or other tech.
Is your school ready for Alyssa’s Law?
Schedule a time to review your current setup and explore how we can enhance your safety systems to stay ahead of these new regulations.
